Steam Next Fest October 2026: the free demo of Camping Resort Simulator

What is Steam Next Fest?
Steam Next Fest is a week-long online festival on Steam that takes place three times a year. During that week you can try demos of upcoming games for free.
The October 2026 edition starts on Monday, October 19, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and ends on Monday, October 26, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
You do not have to wait until then for the Camping Resort Simulator demo: it has been playable since October 1.
What is in the demo?
You start with an empty stretch of coast and build your first campsite on it:
- Lodging: pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, plus glamping, bungalows and villas that you unlock as you grow
- Services: reception, toilet block, service centre, store and ice cream stand
- Leisure: pool, beach bar, playground, tourist train, relax area and an activity plaza where you schedule your first big show

How to play the demo
- Open the Camping Resort Simulator page on Steam.
- Click “Download Demo”.
- Start the campaign. The tutorial walks you through the first two days, and then you carry on freely.
What makes the game different
- A place, not a grid. Every plot has its own quality. Where you place something matters as much as what you build.
- Guests you can watch. Click any visitor and follow their holiday: where they wander, what they enjoy, what they were hoping to find.
- Seen from above. You plan the whole resort from the air, in the style of Planet Coaster or Planet Zoo, instead of walking around as an employee.

What comes after Next Fest?
After the demo, the game will launch in Early Access on Steam. The date has not been announced yet. Early Access is planned to last 12 to 18 months. Planned additions include staff management, guest entertainment (summer cinema, markets, shows), new environments, more decoration and landscaping, and deeper statistics.
